In this installment of “Seekers of the Supernatural”, Tony Spera interviews famed demonologists, ghost hunters, and experts of the paranormal, Ed and Lorraine Warren, regarding poltergeists, specifically what are called water poltergeists. Poltergeists, from the German word for ‘mischievous spirit’, usually manifest in a particular way and in this unique episode, a case of water poltergeist is focused on in-depth, along with some mention rock-throwing poltergeists.
Explaining water poltergeists, where there are usually large amounts of water involved that manifests out of seemingly nowhere, the Warrens tell of a particular case they investigated in Saugerties, NY. An extended family lived between two houses not far apart. In the grandfather’s home, water would be all over the house in alarming amounts, sometimes inches deep, with no mechanical or logical explanation for it. One day, the worst of it occurred, and it involved more than just water. The grandfather was putting wood in the stove when the door closed and water came out of nowhere and put the fire out, which then led into a full day of the grandfather and his grandson staying in the bathroom tub as windows smashed violently, water poured from everywhere, furniture toppled over, and more.
The Warrens were finally called in and Lorraine was able to discern and speak clairvoyantly with a Native American spirit, whose land used to be where the house lay. His name was none other than Waterfall. Ed explains his belief that Waterfall was likely a Shaman, to have such powers as he used in this house. Waterfall had a special request in exchange for the trees of “his” land having been felled to make way for the home he was haunting. Hear how this request became the solution to the family’s problems. Watch the video the Warrens have of the family interviews; hear first-hand their account.
All this and more about poltergeists are discussed on this intriguing episode of “Seekers of the Supernatural”.
